After celebrating their wedding during an intricate three-day event in Morocco last month, Idris Elba and his new wife Sabrina Dhowre jetted off to Africa and kicked off their honeymoon with a stunning-and eco-friendly-safari trip. On Instagram, Dhowre shared a few gorgeous images that show the couple relaxing in Tanzania, where they hung out for a few days while basking in all their post-wedding happiness.

The newlyweds reportedly stayed at the award-winning Singita Grumeti lodges and got lots of time observing the region's sweeping natural settings. Dhowre posted a photo of herself sitting on an elegant resort bed, and then she shared another shot that sees her standing next to an open safari vehicle. She also uploaded an image that shows her and Elba posing with members of the wildlife conservation group, Grumeti Fund, indicating that they made time to learn about sustainable tourism and environmental practices on their vacation.

The couple recently appeared on the July bridal issue of British Vogue with a picture-perfect wedding portrait. In an accompanying interview, Elba opened up about meeting and falling in love with his wife while they were both filming the 2017 drama The Mountain Between Us.

"We've been literally inseparable since we met," he said. "You know, I'm 47 this year, been married and lived a full life before I even met Sabrina. It wasn't something that I wanted to do, get married again. But… " he trailed off.

With People, he talked more about how their very public proposal happened. He said he'd been hoping to pop the question on Valentine's Day, but he couldn't contain himself and ended up asking her to marry him just before a screening of his directorial debut Yardie at Lonon's Rio Cinema movie theater.

“I just dropped to one knee. It was very nerve-wracking. It was quite a public affair. But it really wasn't meant to be on the news," he said.

Dhowre, meanwhile, has made it clear she's thrilled to spend the rest of her life with the guy who got voted People's 2018 Sexiest Man Alive. She posted Elba's People cover on Instagram: "That's my hubby!!! Yaaaaasssssss," she wrote. "thanks @people but I already knew."
