Ed Sheeran has been providing the unofficial soundtrack to your friends' weddings for years now-the sound of the English singer's music is almost comically inescapable on the post-nuptials dance floor. With such deep ties to the ever-romantic first dance, the pressure is on for Sheeran to not just select the perfect first dance music that he and his future bride, Cherry Seaborn, will sway to after they say "I do," but also to share the selection with his fans.

Now, finally, the "Shape of You," singer revealed a song and an artist on the happy couple's shortlist on Wednesday at the 2018 Brit Awards while talking with KISS backstage, according to Metro.

"If I could pick now, it would be an artist called Ben Kweller. He's really good. Or, we've spoke about having Future's 'March Madness,'" Sheeran said. "Maybe that would have to come after the romantic one. Not that Future's 'March Madness' isn't romantic." Honestly, Ed, both seem like great options.

Sheeran announced his engagement to Seaborn last month through an Instagram photo of the pair simply captioned, "Got myself a fiancГ© just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well." The couple has been dating since 2015, but have known each other since childhood.

Though rumors swirled this week that the couple had cut their engagement short and gotten married, it turns out what some fans mistook as a wedding ring on Sheeran's finger was actually an engagement ring, specially made for him by his fiancГ©e. He explained the ring's origin, and his feelings about guys rocking engagement rings on British talk show Lorriane, saying, "I never saw why men didn't wear engagement rings. It's the same commitment either way. Cherry made it for me herself out of silver clay. I really like it. I haven't told anyone that."

Let's just hope he divulges what the final pick for the first dance song is once the big day does, in fact, roll around.
