So, one of the biggest sporting events of the year is happening in one of the most popular bachelorette party destinations and bride tribes are losing their minds. The NFL draft started Thursday in Nashville, a.k.a. the birthplace of country music and matching bachelorette party T-shirts.
According to the Tennessean, the NFL draft is expected to bring in more than 300,000 football fans over the course of three days, which is really getting in the way of everyone who booked their last fling before the ring for the same weekend. Brides and their 'maids are forced to deal with the influx of people and road closures that have pushed the city's popular peddle taverns (a great bachelorette party activity, by the way) off the roads.
"We come here to listen to country music, not hang out with football boys,” bride Cara told Nashville's WZTV. She continued: “It changes the crowd, what you're here for. I don't want to hang out with a bunch of football guys. I'm good. I already have to watch football on Sundays. I don't need to see any more of that.”
Her bridesmaid Cyndi is fully prepared to take her anger out on her husband, who is apparently a football fan. “I'll tell you who's going to pay for this is my husband when I refuse to watch football the entire season,” she said. “No Super Bowl. Because my friend only gets married once, draft happens every year.”
No Super Bowl might sound extreme, but you do you, Cyndi.
Most bridal parties that WZTV spoke with had no idea their bachelorette festivities would coincide with the draft when they planned their trip, but still plan to enjoy themselves by any means necessary-even if that means using force to get through crowds.
“We'll use our elbows if we have to,” one bridal party said.
“If we have to wait two hours to Uber, we'll do it. It is what it is,” another squad stated.

You have to admire their tenacity. It's one of their last pre-wedding parties after all, and brides are prepared to make the most of it.
“We're gonna make the best of it,” bride Savannah said. “It is what it is.”
